| Email Accounts |
Mail accounts can be added and administered for pop email transfers, webmail, email aliases, email forwarding and autoreplies.
Email accounts can be set up in CPanel - so you can send and receive email from a particular email_address@mydomain.com. Emails can be sent and received using our webmail service or from any standard email software (e.g. Outlook or Outlook Express).
Email Forwarders can be set up in CPanel - so you can have email sent to email_address@mydomain.com automatically sent (forwarded) to any other email address.

| Web Mail |
You can access your email (send and receive) from any web browser. We offer three different ways of reaching our webmail service, depending on which is best for you.
Method 1 - this is the normal approach - simply browse to http://mydomain.com/webmail.
Method 2 - if you are behind a firewall, method 1 may be blocked. In this case browse to http://webmail.chex.co.uk.
Method 3 - if you require a secure access to your emails via our webmail service, please browse to https://chex.co.uk/webmail. This method may not work if you are behind a firewall. |
| Setting up Outlook/Outlook Express Configuration |
Outlook and Outlook Express can be automatically configured to work with your Chex email account(s). Click here to start our own unique 4 step configuration process.
Or to do this manually (for any email client software), you'll need the following information:
smtp server = mail.mydomain.com
pop server = mail.mydomain.com
email account = myaddress@mydomain.com
the password is that you chose when the email account was created
your name and business etc are as you choose
to be able to send emails, please set the 'authentication' tick box. All authentication details are as default. |
| Forgotton Email Password |
If youor somebody you have set up an email account for has forgotten their password, you can reset it by using your Control Panel. Log in to your Control Panel and select Email, then Email accounts. Find the email account in question and then click on Password. |
| Email Quota |
Each email account you create can have a 'quota'. This is the amount of hard disc space the account can use. This can be left blank to have no limit (you are limited by the overall quota for your hosting account).
If this limit is exceeded then no new emails can be received. |
